Childline

ISPCC Childline is Ireland’s 24-hour active listening service for children. The service is confidential, non-judgmental and free to contact from anywhere in Ireland. Children and young people up to the age of 18 can contact Childline at any time, about any issue which may be on their mind. Childline’s online, phone and text services are all accessible to children and young people 24 hours a day, every day

Samaritans

Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day.

Jigsaw

Jigsaw are the National Centre for Youth Mental Health and work with young people aged 12-25. There to ensure that no young person feels alone, isolated or disconnected from others around them. Jigsaw provides vital supports to young people with their mental health by working closely with communities across Ireland.

Changing Futures

Welcome to Changing Futures, a website for young people made by young people with experience of Tusla services. Everyday Tusla supports children, young people and families.  It’s their job to keep us safe.

Family Carers Ireland

Family Carers Ireland is the national charity dedicated to supporting the 500,000+ family carers and young carers across the country who care for loved ones, relatives, friends and neighbours with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with chronic illnesses, mental ill-health or addiction. We believe that no one should have to care alone.

Pieta

Pieta provide a range of services nationally to people who are experiencing thoughts of suicide, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. All of our services are provided free of charge, and no referral is needed.

Irish Hospice Foundation

Bereavement Support Line – No one has to grieve alone. Our Bereavement Support Line, in partnership with the HSE, is there to provide connection, comfort and support. It is a shoulder for you to lean on.  It is a national freephone service 1800 80 70 77 available from 10am to 1pm, Monday to Friday

The Irish Childhood Bereavement Network

The Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN) is a hub for those working with bereaved children and young people, and their families. Our five key priority areas are:
Support professionals to deliver high quality and accessible bereavement support.
Signpost families and carers to a directory of bereavement support services.
Inform the everyone about issues around childhood loss.
Advocate for bereaved children and young people, and those supporting them.
Generate new ideas and approaches to improving bereavement support for children.

Anam Cara

Anam Cara Parent Bereavement Support group supports patents and families on the loss of a child.
